Overview

In the United States, 22 veterans take their life every single day, making suicide, not war, the leading cause of death in the military.

Greenlight A Vet is a national campaign to establish visible support for U.S. veterans by inviting Americans to change one white light in their homes to green, thus turning a potential PTSD trigger into a perennial beacon of support and appreciation.

THE FIRST 100 GREENLIGHTS

The country’s most important leaders and influencers received the first 100 bulbs and were invited to light the way, inspiring their fans and followers to join the cause.

Homes

The simple gesture of changing one light to green sparked a national movement across homes, porches and streets. Millions shared their support on social media, which in turn inspired more people to “greenlight” veterans back into their communities.

Buildings and Monuments

On Veterans Day, dozens of buildings and monuments across the country showed their support by glowing green.
